Welcome to the church “St. Nicholas”!
The medieval church “St, Nicholas” in the village of Dolna Verenitsa is located in the southern high part of the village, situated on a hill of the Shiroka Mountain. From here you will enjoy spacious views.
The church was built in the XVIth century as a small one-nave building. In the church yard, you will find some interesting stone crosses, representing real works of Bulgarian applied art.
Next to the church in the village of Dolna Verenitsa there is a spring and for the big holidays the holy water used in the rituals is taken from there. There are believers who claim that a miracle happened to them after visiting the temple and using the holy water.
