The construction of the church in Buzescu is the second Serbian church ward in Teleorman. Located in the centre of the commune, the church was designed to be a point of intersection and head of perspective of the two main roads crossing the settlement. The dimensions and the architectural style of the church indicate the warden’s intention of establishing a genuine town, not a commune, in Buzescu. It is one of the few examples of Orthodox architecture of the Byzantine tradition in Romania. The four entries marking the axis of each side and the position of very high windows, are characteristic to this construction.
