The town of Filiasi has one of the most beautiful historical monuments in the country: the mausoleum of the Filisanu family. The complex was built in 1868 in a French design and by an Italian architect. The remains of the Filisanu family lie in the crypts beneath the sarcophaguses, which sit only for decoration.
